IPTV

IPTV enables TV channels and video content to be viewed on any number of PCs and display equipment connected to an existing network.

TV channels are received through an IPTV gateway and then distributed throughout the network, the channels can then be viewed at any data point connected to the same network via a PC, if you want to view the channels through a TV you need to use an IPTV receiver. Other content such as DVDs and videos can be distributed the same way but will require an MPEG encoder. PCs do not require any other hardware to view IPTV channels and choose channels using an on screen control panel.
